My Ceramics

Cube Sculptures, 2014.

This sculpture series was a body of work that was created through investigation, experimentation, and exploration of the mold making and ceramics in the traditional setting of Jingdezhen, China. With little expsoure to creating sculptures, these were intended to reach outside my comfort zone and create a body of work that was very geometrical and clean cut.  (Shown in *Handmade in China*)

Morphed, 2014.

Morphed was a body of work that was created through investigation, experimentation, and exploration of the mold making and ceramics in the traditional setting of Jingdezhen, China. These pieces were made through varying times and methods of slip casting in a plaster molds, and then fired as is with no alterations of the clay. Simple glazes (including gold luster) were added to some, as others were pure porcelain. (Shown in *Handmade in China*)

Pottery, 2014.

All of these pieces were created on the wheel in either stoneware or porcelain during the investigation and experimentation of creating functional pieces.

Droodle Vases, 2014.

Both of these vases were created specifically for the MORPH show at the 840 Gallery (DAAP). They were a collaborative project with Drew Yakscoe in an attempt to comment on the historical production of vases by manipulating their shape and commenting on their imagery by including his very own "doodles" on the surfaces.

Experimentation Sculpture, 2013.

This project is an experimentation of a clay my classmate created and an oxidized glaze with a tendency to pull in the cracks and creases.

Waving Tiles, 2013.
